Hua Ban Group is a Sarawak distribution group of eight companies, with more than 40 years in consumer goods and hardware distribution.

What we distribute

Food and beverage, personal care, household goods, over-the-counter medicine and health supplements; PVC and HDPE pipes made at our own factory in Sibu under our CTM brand, with plumbing accessories, tanks and gutters; Castrol lubricants and WAXCO car care products through our automotive division; and Cargill fish feed. Our reach

Our head office is in Sibu, with branches in Kuching, Bintulu and Miri. More than 50 sales representatives cover more than 30 districts every month and serve more than 3,000 customers, and we reach all 12 divisions of Sarawak. Find a branch.

Our history

Hua Ban was started in Sibu in 1979 by Mr Kong Chong Men, as a small wholesaler in Sibu town selling agricultural pesticide and fertiliser. Several years later he expanded into cold water supply systems, after a joint venture with a PVC pipe factory in Sibu. That factory, Comstem Industries, is now the group’s own and makes our CTM pipe.

In the early 1990s, Hua Ban became a wholesaler of fast-moving consumer goods in the Sibu region and earned the trust of suppliers and local customers. After 2000, the business expanded to Bintulu, Miri and Kuching.
